Dustin Johnson moves into lead at RBC

Lowry was three under through 16 holes - and nine under for the tournament - when play was suspended, with rain having led to a delay of nearly four hours earlier in the day. Top-ranked Dustin Johnson and Emiliano Grillo were 7 under after 67s.

Johnson, who already has two wins this year and is coming off a runner-up finish at the Masters, carded a four-under 67 in the second round.

Mullinax, a shot behind when the round began, tied Lowry with a birdie on the 13th. Two holes later, Lowry added his third bogey after going the first 48 holes with just one.

Three-time major victor Jordan Spieth of the United States joined a pack on 137 by completing a second-round 66 before the start of third-round play in threesomes off the first and 10th tees.

In eight starts in 2019, he has missed three cuts and in the five cuts, his best performance has been tied 30th.

Johnson, a SC native, had not played at Harbour Town in 10 years before returning last spring.

He was three ahead in the third round but had three late bogeys as Johnson putted superbly for three consecutive birdies and finished on 10 under.

In his second round at the RBC Heritage, Justin Harding hit 9 of 14 fairways and 9 of 18 greens in regulation, finishing at 4 over for the tournament.

Grillo had an albatross on the par-five fifth hole when he holed his 254-yard second shot.

Johnson liked his weekend chances but hoped he could roll in a few more putts. "Perfect distance. flawless everything". Poulter is seeking to get back at Harbour Town after being the 54-hole leader with three sub-70 rounds before ballooning to a 75 on Sunday previous year.
