Weiss. We previously learned that Johnson was creating a new trilogy of Star Wars films focusing on new characters in a new setting, and Benioff and Weiss were separately hired to create their own new series of films.

Amy Hennig, creative director behind the cancelled single-player Star Wars game known as Project Ragtag, has some thoughts on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and its status as a single-player game without microtransactions. Indeed, as Collider exclusively revealed last summer, Lucasfilm put a halt on plans for more spinoffs, like the Obi-Wan movie, following the box office disappointment of Solo: A Star Wars Story. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, LucasFilm's Kathleen Kennedy addressed the future of the franchise. "I also think Respawn's game has the benefit of being largely developed before they were acquired", she posited. "They're working very closely with Rian". We assume Luke is a force ghost, but one can never be sure with "Star Wars".

"There's a lot of conflict in this movie, but I think where it goes and the resolution is very hopeful", she added.

"Hopefully for a long time tourists will come and get their photo taken with the R2D2 sign and see the attractive location where "Star Wars" was filmed", he said.

She has been accused of anti-Semitism over comments she made about Israel and pro-Israel lobbyists. Trump then branded immigrants as "criminals of all shapes".


He later recalled conversations he had with Star Wars creator George Lucas regarding Palpatine's fate. Johnson, Benioff and Weiss are all great storytellers who have a tremendous passion for the fantasy genre and Star Wars in particular.

Kennedy hinted that the new stories might actually be taking place set in the distant past in the Star Wars universe, "Yes, absolutely".

Despite the announced hiatus, we knew for a fact that there are at least two more Star Wars trilogies now in development, one by The Last Jedi director, Rian Johnson and the other by Game of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
