Tottenham confirm 'significant' Kane ligament injury

Spurs star Kane, 25, was forced off the field in their 1-0 Champions League victory on Tuesday against Manchester City.

"We are going to miss him - maybe for the rest of the season".

Kane's injury will be a huge concern too for England, who have the chance to win the Nations League this summer when they play the Netherlands in the semi-finals on June 6.

Alli's injury appears to be less serious, and the club said that the England midfielder would be assessed to determine whether he can play in tomorrow's game against Huddersfield.

His England team-mate Dele Alli, meanwhile, will be assessed before the match after breaking his hand against City.

"He was so upset after the game, it was a hard moment for him", Pochettino said. The timing of his recovery is still unknown.

It transpired last week that Crips, Bloods, and other gangs in LA have gathered for a "unity meeting" in the wake of his death. This Thursday, Los Angeles will be united in honoring the life and legacy of Nipsey Hussle at the famed Staples Center venue.

Kane, who has scored 24 goals for Tottenham this season, had slipped as he tried to block City full-back Fabian Delph's clearance on the right touchline in the second half and was substituted immediately. He saw a specialist on Thursday and is more likely to return for next week's second leg against Manchester City.

Kane suffered a similar injury earlier this season against Manchester United in January which kept him out for just over a month.

Kane will miss Saturday's clash with Huddersfield at Spurs" new stadium, which Pochettino believes will be "decisive' in the race for the top four.

He was ruled out for nearly two months in January, missing seven games, when he damaged ligaments in the same ankle during their 1-0 Premier League home defeat by Manchester United.

"He's Harry Kane because he has played like this in the past".

Pochettino undoubtedly possesses other capable goalscorers in his squad but it is clear that not being able to call on Kane during the run-in equates to a huge blow, with Fernando Llorente the Argentine manager's only other option at centre forward.
