Arsenal wasted an opportunity against Everton and away form must worry them

Everton boss Marco Silva has laughed off clashes with Arsenal counterpart Unai Emery and Mesut Ozil during victory on Sunday.

Arsenal failed to click into gear and their poor away form continued, leaving them fourth in the Premier League table as they seek Champions League qualification.

The Gunners now find themselves in the top four of the Premier League standings, while the North London outfit have also reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Tim Cahill joins Jamie Redknapp and Alex Scott to look back on Everton's 1-0 win against Arsenal on Renault Super Sunday.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "In the second half we needed a bit more from the game so I changed some things and we were better offensively". We played OK but we didn't have many chances to score.

Only in the lineup because Michael Keane came down with a virus, Jagielka darted onto a loose ball to open the scoring with an 11th minute goal.

Everton defender Phil Jagielka, centre, wheels away after giving his side an early lead over Arsenal.

Emery told "I think we can improve first, by spending money to achieve players".

"They pushed a lot but we controlled the first half better, like we wanted".

However, one of the biggest talking points from the afternoon on Merseyside was Ozil's decision to lob a coat in the direction of the host's technical area in the game's latter proceedings.

Arsenal will bid to get back to winning ways when they take on Napoli in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday night at The Emirates.

The Gunners have missed out on top-four finishes in the last two seasons running.
