Virat Kohli fumes after Andre Russell blitzkrieg, makes sensational statement on bowlers

It was another blitzkrieg from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Andre Russell that saw his team snatch victory from the jaws of defeat at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Friday, and batsman Chris Lynn was all praise for his teammate. It was not that we had bowled badly but it was just that we couldn't come out at the crucial time and we couldn't perform.

"If we bowl like that, [and] we don't show composure in pressure moments, we deserve to be where we are in the table", he added. "If we bowl with not enough bravery in the crunch moments then it's always going to be hard when you have power-hitters like Russell in the opposition", said Virat Kohli in the post-match presentation ceremony.

For RCB skipper Virat Kohli, though, his team's performance was unacceptable. A part of me was saying that the runs needed were too much but I wanted to fight and eventually, we won with five balls spare. "Once I am there, I know anything's possible". His blitz was studded with five fours and four sixes. DK was telling me to take a few balls to see how the pitch is behaving. Need to put your body on the line. Russell was struggling with one run in first four balls, hit the shoulder high full-toss for a six and then steamrolled the RCB bowlers playing one of the most brutalist innings in T20 history. That's why I never give up. "No ground is big enough for me I guess, I just trust my power". He has already hit more sixes than he did in the entire 2015 and 2016 seasons.

And, of course, spending plenty of time with Stormi! "Travis will be around now for several weeks before his tour resumes". The couple along with their baby Stormi are vacationing in Punta Mita , Mexico and spending some quality family time.

However, Russell eclipsed the pair with a dazzling display of hitting down the stretch.

Russell has now managed 207 runs in this year's IPL from 77 deliveries, putting him third on the top-scorers' list behind Sunrisers Hyderabad duo David Warner and Jonny Bairstow.

AB de Villiers has a fantastic record in IPL matches against the Delhi Capitals; he has scored 396 runs in 9 innings, has an average of 79.20, and a strike-rate of 174.44. He keeps doing it.
