Steph Curry Fixed A Recent Shooting Slump By Getting Contact Lenses

So what has exactly changed over the past nine games?

"It's like the whole world has opened up", the NBA's career leader in free throw percentage said to The Athletic's Marcus Thompson II, in comments published Wednesday.

The Warriors will need Curry's vision to remain clear as they look to win their third-straight National Basketball Association championship this summer.

The Warriors star saw his numbers increase in March by shooting.433% and going on a nine-game streak through Tuesday's win over the Nuggets where he made at least five threes per game. "I had gotten so used to squinting for so long", he told Thompson.

The 52-year-old TV chef shared the happy news on Instagram , along with posting an adorable picture of his new bundle of joy. In addition to baby Oscar, they are also parents to Megan (21), Jack (19), Holly (19) and Matilda (17).

Curry said wearing specialized contact lenses feels like he has new eyes, but he explained he didn't get contacts sooner because he felt his eyesight "was normal". Technically, it's an eye disease in which the cornea, normally a circle, progressively thins and takes on a cone shape.

That shouldn't sound possible, but Curry said he just recently busted out of a shooting slump by getting contacts.

Curry, 31 and in his 10th National Basketball Association season, said he had been dealing with a condition called Keratoconus (KC), in which the cornea thins and bulges from its circular shape into a more cone-like shape. "It doesn't distribute the light equally to the retina and leads to blurred or distorted vision".

Green was hit hardest after sending two short tweets after the game - "TD" and "MK" in what was believed to be a cryptic reference to link Kogut with disgraced former National Basketball Association official Tim Donaghy, who was linked to betting on games he officiated and controling the point spreads.
