Bret Hart Attacker At WWE Hall Of Fame Identified As MMA Fighter

WWE legend Bret "Hitman" Hart was attacked by a fan during his WWE Hall of Fame speech at Barclays Center on Saturday night.

Madsen rushed into the ring where Hart and niece Natalya (accepting induction on behalf of her late father, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) were standing at the podium. The simultaneous broadcast on the WWE Network cut to black before coming back and showing shots of concerned and confused fans in the stands.

UPDATE: Further fan footage has emerged showing Ronda Rousey's husband Travis Browne taking down the intruder first, as well as Dash Wilder lamping the loser with an absolutely vicious right hook.

According to tweets from Arash Markazi, a sports columnist for the L.A. Times, Hart seemed unharmed after the incident and was able to finish his speech. When the broadcast resumed, numerous WWE superstars and employees had surrounded Bret and Natalya in the ring.

After the individual was arrested, Hart, 61, finished his speech off and appeared to be uninjured. It was a awful action as this was a moment to honor her late father and WWE was smart not to have the attacker's face or likeness shown on the telecast.
