Borderlands 3 box art, release date, and Collector's Edition leak

After reporting on the rumoured release date a few days ago, we finally have confirmation from Gearbox themselves that Borderlands 3 will indeed be out later this year. But unfortunately, the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC for six months.

However, at the time, a teaser trailer was all we got: no gameplay or release date.

While these four Vault Hunters will offer plenty of flexibility in terms of play style, it looks like they're going to need to combine their powers if they want to survive against the villainous Calypso Twins.

There's also apparently a Deluxe Edition, Super Deluxe Edition, and Diamond Loot Chest Edition in the pipeline.

Following quickly on the heels of the Borderlands 3 reveal trailer which took place less than a week ago, Gearbox has chose to give fans the release date of their upcoming game. And there will be plenty of special editions that Borderlands fans can get their hands on. Borderlands 3 split screen being a real thing means that you can now start gathering a group of buddies to play with, and yes, I might have already sent out a flurry of messages to my own. Also, as it is classic for Borderlands, the trailer promised tons of loot. While it is unsurprising to see co-op back for Borderlands 3 it does feature some changes that may make it a better experience overall.

Is there a Borderlands 3 trailer? And to take them down players can choose new classes like mech soldier Moze, Amara and her ghost fists, a hitman who can clone himself, and a robot with pets.

Borderlands 3 is due out on September 13th 2019 on Xbox one, PS4 and PC.

A storm of tweets demanded an explication and Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox, chose to weight in and respond to what seemed to be minor jokes (since the two posts appeared on April 1st).
