Cincinnati Bengals Running Back Arrested For Third Time This Offseason

The former Miami Hurricanes star turned pro a year ago and was drafted in the fourth round by Cincinnati. The Bengals running back was arrested again, his third arrest of the offseason, according to David Ovalle of The Miami Herald.

That incident seem rather minor to his most recent incident after he got himself arrested for the third time this offseason after Walton surrendered to authorities in Miami on Thursday to face charges stemming from a March 12 incident.

Per reports, the arrest stemmed from a March 12 incident that featured Walton weaving and speeding in an out of traffic, deciding to run from police, ultimately getting caught and shot with a taser but then manually removing the taser prongs and escaping officers entirely.

In January, Walton was arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession. The vehicle abruptly pulled over in the front yard of a home in the 2300 block of Northwest 86th Street.

Walton was pulled over a few weeks ago, and ran away from his auto after stopping.

Meanwhile, Celtic vowed to "vigorously defend" charges against captain Scott Brown and the club as the fallout continued. Eight days after the trip to face The Dons, Celtic will play Rangers at Ibrox, in a game that will kick-off at midday.

One officer ordered Walton to the ground.

During the police search of his BMW, officers found 14 grams of marijuana, a 9 mm carbine rifle and several fully loaded clips, police said. Walton got on the ground before running away. The rifle had been legally purchased by the running back, records show.

Walton was already awaiting trial in two other criminal cases in his hometown.

Aside from the March 12 charges, Walton is facing a misdemeanor battery charge after he allegedly got into a fight with his neighbor February 16.

The 5-foot-10, 202-pound running back had 34 yards on 14 carries in 14 games last season for the Bengals.
