President Trump Joked About Biden's Conduct With Women. Then Biden Did, Too

"I think he's having fun with it", Trump said. "But people got a kick. we gotta sort of smile a little bit, right?"

Later, during the same speech before the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Biden invited a group of children onstage, shaking their hands and putting his arm around one boy.

"I take everything with a grain of salt these days because I know what it's like and our family knows what it's like better than anyone to have things said about you and you be accused of things and maybe it's not the full truth", Trump said.

Still, signs of shifts in feelings in the party have been evident in recent complaints about Biden's history of publicly affectionate behavior with women.

Despite more than a dozen women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct, on Thursday the president posted a doctored version of a cellphone video Biden released addressing the controversy over his touching. "Donald Trump bragged about abusing women, physically assaulting women because he was famous".

It is eligible to be registered as a party because it has a sitting member of parliament and satisfied the legal definition of a party.

"Social norms are changing. And the boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset", he said in the video. I get it. I hear what they are saying, I understand it. As to where he falls on ideological lines, Biden added: "I'm an Obama-Biden Democrat, man". I'll be much more mindful, that's my responsibility and I'll meet it.

'And not once - never - did I believe I acted inappropriately.

Images of Biden hugging various women and appearing to be sniffing their hair have always been in the public eye, but with the accusations mounting and 2020 on the horizon, he chose to explain it: in a video, he said it's his way of "connecting with people" and promised to be "more mindful" in the future, now that "social norms have begun to change". Lucy Flores, a former Nevada assemblywoman, penned an essay last week detailing a 2014 encounter during which the former vice president made her feel "uneasy, gross and confused" when he came up from behind her and kissed the back of her head. That was in response to a question of whether he would directly apologize to the women he made feel uncomfortable. "To make light of something as serious as consent degrades the conversation women everywhere are courageously trying to have".

With almost 50 years in public life, Mr. Biden said that his record speaks for itself.

"Yeah, I think I'm a very good messenger and people got a kick out of it, " Trump told reporters Friday. "He's going through a situation, let's see what happens".
