Odell Beckham Jr & Jarvis Landry Star In Nike Ad Campaign

After spending the first five seasons of his career in New York, Beckham admitted that the trade to Cleveland came as a total "shock".

"He gave me a little bit of advice", Beckham said.

"I was heading to dinner and I remember seeing Gettleman calling and I knew something was going down", Beckham told reporters. I don't even know how to describe it.

"I'm very thankful for the opportunity to be here", he said. "Him and I dreamed of this". But he called the press conference welcoming Beckham one of the "craziest" he's ever seen.

As for his new teammates, Landry said he cried tears of joy, while Mayfield said he "just started screaming".

Wide Receiver Odell Beckham Jr.: Browns Trade 'Was Definitely a Shock'
Despite having one of his closest friends in Cleveland, Beckham admitted that he was also sad about leaving NY . To see what he did to bring a championship here, I just want to be able to do that same thing".

Also on Monday, a new ad showcasing Landry and Beckham, who are childhood friends and played together at LSU, was released. "He just said: 'You're going to love it, you're going to love Cleveland.' I said, 'I can't wait.' That's like my idol, so it's the person I look up to the most, that's my guy".

"I'm excited and I think it's going to be one of the best things to happen in my life". "But then the things we talked about all throughout past year with what we need and the types of guys we need in this locker room to go in the right direction, that's the best thing about that". In the hours after the trade went down, Giants running back Saquon Barkley talked to Beckham and said that the receiver wasn't "really happy about" being traded to Cleveland. "Now Mayfield gets to throw to Beckham on a daily basis, and not merely during offseason sessions when they two worked out together previous year at USC". "He is going to be a great presence for us in this locker room".

This is all going to take some getting used to, Beckham transitioning from Giants' blue-and-white to Cleveland's orange-and-brown. Well, not exactly. But he said it wouldn't matter to him if he set up life there.

Complete with rally possum hanging in the background, you see Baker's face, but not the uniform.

"I'll have to check it out", Beckham said of Cleveland. "The city is definitely different, but at the end of the day, when you're in season, you just focus on playing ball".
