Multiple US airlines facing delays due to system outage

Delta, United and Southwest Airlines said flights have been affected across the country.

Flights at USA airports across the country are delayed because of an IT failure affecting at least five airlines, the FAA has said.

Southwest and Delta responded in social media to complaints from disgruntled passengers.

Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Alaska Airlines are experiencing system-wide outages Monday leading to customers across cities in the US complaining about flight disruptions.

Republican Governor Brian Kemp has publicly expressed his support for the legislation and is expected to sign the bill into law. It said the legislation "would ban safe, legal abortion and criminalize the most intimate decision women and couples make".

Multiple airlines were experiencing outages this morning.

"In the meantime, once more information has been made available our Agents at the airport will be happy to disseminate it to y'all", he added. "We do not have a specific time as yet".

The problem involved a program called AeroData, used to calculate the weight and balance of flights.

"We know this is frustrating, and we will get you in the air as quickly as possible".
