Syracuse's Howard suspended indefinitely due to athletic policy violation

The Orange will be without Frank Howard for an "indefinite" amount of time in the NCAA Tournament after "a violation of athletic department policy", Syracuse announced in a release Wednesday.

Syracuse will be getting standout player Tyus Battle back for the tournament, but they'll lose Howard at the same time.

The Bears have a non-conference win over OR, but most of their big games came in conference play.

Still, Mason has the capability to take over a game in the NCAA tournament, which he did against Baylor while he was still at Yale, dropping 31 points on the Bears.

Howard averaged 8.9 points, 2.9 assists, and two rebounds in 29 games this season.

The honor came following his big performances against Pitt and Duke. Jalen's had good practices.

Ah, tea - it's the most widely consumed drink in the world, and a staple of the Asian (and, indeed, global) diet and lifestyle. He added that the absolute risk is not quoted in the paper, which he calculated at about 63 cases per 100,000 people.

Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, during a news conference Wednesday, did not give a specific reason for the suspension - and danced around all inquires made about Howard and his absence. Everybody - it is very similar to last week when we found out Tyus wouldn't play. "That's what - we know who we are going to play this game with, that is all we are focused on".

Howard will not be with the team when it begins March Madness with a matchup against No. 9-seeded Baylor in Salt Lake City on Thursday (tip-off from Vivint Smart Home Arena is at 9:57 p.m. ET on truTV).
