Randall Cobb Joining Cowboys; Patriots’ Wideout Options Dwindling

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst released statements regarding the departures of receiver Randall Cobb and outside linebacker Clay Matthews on Wednesday morning. Austin recently re-signed with Dallas on a one-year deal and is also a return man in addition to his receiving duties.

Dallas is betting that Cobb, if he can remain healthy, can give quarterback Dak Prescott a proven, reliable slot receiver.

If you think signing soon-to-be 37-year-old Jason Witten from the Monday Night Football booth means the Cowboys' issues at tight end are totally fixed, then that's some extremely wishful thinking.

While a hamstring injury and late-season concussion limited Cobb to just nine games this past season, he had a career-high 142 receiving yards, including a 75-yard touchdown, in the Packers' 24-23 win over the Bears in the regular-season opener.

Cuphead Heads To The Switch Next Month
Cuphead is a tough as nails side-scrolling shoot "em up with a classic animation style that instantly caught people's attention". Microsoft says the company is working with Studio MDHR to integrate Xbox Live into the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

Having said that, I'm so happy that Cobb isn't on the Packers anymore. "When he's out there, he's a tough guy to cover".

Briefly: Eric Berry, the five-time Pro Bowl safety and free agent who visited the Cowboys on Tuesday, left The Star without a deal at this time, according to a source.

It will take some getting used to for Aaron Rodgers when he reports to training camp without longtime Packers receiver Randall Cobb at a nearby locker.

After finishing up the four-year, $40 million contract he signed in the 2015 offseason, Cobb enters the upcoming season in Dallas on the heels of an injury-plagued 2018 campaign.
