Nintendo Announces Cadence of Hyrule, a Surprise Zelda Game

In the wake of the success of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, fans were left wondering what could possibly come next.

To shed some light on the situation, IGN recently spoke to Ryan Clark, the founder of Crypt of the NecroDancer developer Brace Yourself Games.

The game's full title is "Cadence of Hyrule - Crypt of the NecroDancer feat".

When Cadence of Hyrule comes out this Spring it will be Brace Yourself's second release ever.
. Familiar enemies like Lynels, an assortment of items from The Legend of Zelda, and spells and weapons from Crypt of the NecroDancer culiminate in a unique take on both series.

The game will play much like Crypt of the NecroDancer, in which you have to beat a series of 25 randomly generated tile maps with enemies by completing musical puzzles, only the puzzles will feature songs from Legend of Zelda.

Not content with a bunch of killer announcements, Nintendo saved the best for last: a version of Crypt of the Necrodancer on Switch.with Zelda. You play as Hue, who must explore this odd new world filled with intelligent tribes and find a new home for your people.

Nintendo as part of its Nindies Showcase Spring 2019 video on Wednesday announced a new game based on its popular Legend of Zelda franchise.

And yes, plenty of comments and Twitter replies have made it abundantly clear to me that some folk don't see this as a "real" Zelda game.
