Israeli Rabbi, Wounded in Palestinian Attack, Dies: Hospital

US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman on Monday criticized Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for not condemning a deadly West Bank attack that killed two Israelis, and said that the Palestinian celebration of terror is "the problem". I am deeply saddened to hear that Rabbi Achiad Ettinger, a father of 12 from the settlement of Eli, died of his injuries on Monday, a day after being shot by a Palestinian attacker.

The attack began when a Palestinian grabbed a gun from an Israeli near a Jewish settlement in the West Bank and then shot him.

He then reportedly fired on three vehicles, hitting a 47-year-old rabbi who later died, before hijacking a auto and driving to another nearby junction.

The centrist Blue and White alliance criticized Netanyahu's camp for what it said was the politicization of Sunday's attack, which killed a 19-year-old soldier and a rabbi.

"These terrorists will not uproot us from here", Netanyahu said while visiting the site of the attack near the Ariel settlement in the West Bank on Monday.

According to estimates, around 6,000 Palestinians are now languishing in Israeli detention facilities, including women, children and a handful of lawmakers.

Queen Elizabeth denies Prince Harry and Meghan complete independence from royal family
Yet, being apart of the monarchy does still mean they have to play by their rules as the royal family is the one footing the bill. Sara Latham, a former adviser to the Hillary Clinton campaign, is their new head of communications.

"With grief and deep sorrow, the Ettinger family announces the passing of the saintly Rabbi Achiad Ettinger who sacrificed himself for the sanctification of God in the hands of a lowly murderer during a terror attack in which Achiad displayed daring, spiritual might, and great courage, while shooting the despicable terrorist". He was shot on Sunday shortly after the soldier - later identified as Staff Sgt. Gal Keidan - was stabbed to death at an intersection on a busy highway near the main entrance to Ariel.

For the past three years, Rabbi Ettinger was the head of the Oz and Emunah hesder yeshiva (seminary that combines religious study with IDF service) in the Neve Sha'anan neighborhood of southern Tel Aviv. The military says it has surveyed his home for its future demolition. Netanyahu, who leads the most rightwing government in Israeli history, relies on support from settlers in the West Bank.

On Sunday, Culture Minister Miri Regev, one of Netanyahu's most outspoken supporters in his right-wing Likud, seized on the incident to attack his strongest challenger in the April 9 election, former armed forces chief Benny Gantz.

The dailies added that Israeli forces are conducting a large-scale manhunt for the perpetrator. United Nations figures show Palestinian attackers killed 14 Israelis in 2018. Palestinians seek to establish a state there and in the Gaza Strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The attack came three days after Hamas launched two rockets at Tel Aviv for the first time since 2014.
