The Netherlands defender has backed his Reds teammate to start scoring again soon.

"World class" Mohamed Salah will rediscover his goalscoring touch for Liverpool, says team-mate Virgil van Dijk.

United probably don't want Liverpool to win the title, but they need to win that game to keep their hopes of a top-four finish on track and that motivation will mean they have to go for it against their local rivals.

But the form of Salah has been questioned with the striker having only scored once in all competitions in the past two months.

The Egypt worldwide, who occupies joint-top spot on the list of highest-scoring African across Europe's top five leagues, extended his barren scoring streak to five successive games in the top flight, and seven consecutive encounters across all competitions.

Paris Jackson slams reports she fell asleep at the wheel
"F- you you f-ing liars", she tweeted in response to the reports, adding in a second tweet , "lies lies lies omg and more lies". Jackson has been taking to social media frequently over the past few days, over reports that she attempted suicide .

Liverpool's James Milner extended his Premier League record of never losing a game in which he's scored - it now stands at 51 games (W40 D11 L0).

Van Dijk is now away on global duty with the Netherlands and he says he wanted his compatriot Ryan Babel to score for the Cottagers in order to give him a confidence boost for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Salah will become the quickest player in the club's history to reach 50 Premier League goals if he scores in one of his next five matches.

Do you think Salah is a selfish player?

The Cottagers forward capitalised on the Reds defender's miscommunication with Alisson and scored a goal - but it turns out the Oranje coach Ronald Koeman was relieved to see Van Dijk make a mistake.
