I'm retiring from the National Football League on top! - Ngata bows out on Kilimanjaro

His time in the National Football League features five trips to the Pro Bowl, multiple postseason appearances and won the Super Bowl during the 2020 season.

Still, he's well known as one of the most dominant defensive tackles of his era and is a shoo-in for the Ravens' Ring of Honor.

In an announcement made via his Instagram account, Ngata stands literally on top - the top of a mountain. "Thank you Lord for letting me play the game I love for 13 unforgettable years". After putting together a career full of achievements, Haloti Ngata is officially saying goodbye to the game of football. I'm retiring on top.

After excelling at the University of OR, the Baltimore Ravens selected him No. 12 overall in the 2006 draft. Ngata was frequently injured in those seasons, and his play was nowhere near the level it was in Baltimore. The Lions traded for him to be Ndamukong Suh's replacement in 2015.
