Glastonbury Festival 2019 lineup revealed

Event organizers for the famous music festival took to social media early Friday morning to announce The Killers, The Cure, Kylie, and Janet Jackson will lead the way for this year's event. The festival plans to announce more artists ahead of its kick off the last week of June.

The Killers confirmed the news in a tweet Friday.

While 80s' icons The Cure are returning for their first headline performance in 24 years, which means the band tie with Coldplay as the only acts to have headlined the event four times.

The Chemical Brothers have been announced for Glastonbury 2019.

They join *inhales deeply* Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus, George Ezra, Vampire Weekend, Hozier, Sigrid, Snow Patrol, and our very own Tame Impala to name a few.

The band previously performed at the event as headliners in 1986, 1990 and 1995.

Response to the bill has been mixed, with fans praising a near-50% female line-up, while others have called it "predictable". - According to their official website, Glastonbury returned coach tickets will go on sale on Thursday 25 April and general sale tickets will go on sale on Sunday 28 April.

More acts have yet to be announced for Glastonbury Festival 2019 which takes place on June 26 to 30.
