Love Island star Mike Thalassitis has died age 26

Sources claim the reality star was found dead in Essex yesterday.

Michael Thalassitis, an English soccer player who also starred in the British reality TV show "Love Island", has died.

The former League Two footballer enjoyed a successful career in the sport before becoming starring on Love Island in the summer of 2017.

Mike did not enter the villa until partway into the series.

Chris Hughes, who famously branded the star "muggy" after recouping with Olivia has since urged people to drop the label from his name.

Thalassitis, commonly known as "Muggy Mike", hosted a night at Fever and Boutique in Exeter past year.

He last played football professionally in 2017 for the same team before going on to appear in Celebs Go Dating.
