Lisa Page Admitted Obama DOJ Ordered Stand-Down on Hillary Prosecution

But Page, in 2018, told House lawmakers that whatever she had to say about Trump or Clinton in the past, it didn't affect the quality of investigations.

The top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday released the transcript from a closed-door interview with former Federal Bureau of Investigation counterintelligence official Peter Strzok in which he argued to a joint congressional panel that text messages he sent expressing disdain for Donald Trump had been misconstrued to be more disparaging than intended.

"I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy's office-that there's no way [Trump] gets elected-but I'm afraid we can't take that risk", Strzok wrote in a cryptic text message to Page, adding "it's like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40".

The Strzok transcript is the third set Mr. Collins has released, following ones from Justice Department official Bruce Ohr and Ms. Page herself.

Hillary Clinton was not a target, witness, subject or suspect during the investigation into her storage and sending of classified emails on her home server, fired FBI Agent Peter Strzok told Congress past year, according to transcripts released Thursday.

Page visited Capitol Hill in July 2018 to speak to the House Judiciary Committee and the House Oversight Committee, both of which were controlled by Republicans at the time.

YouTube Music is a lot like Spotify but cheaper
This was a few weeks after Spotify , the most popular music streaming app in Europe and the Americas, entered the Indian market. The Alphabet-owned company has released the Premium service and the Indian subscribers can get it for Rs.129 per month.

Lynch said a team of career members of the Justice Department and FBI will present her with recommendations on how to proceed once the investigation has concluded and that she plans to accept the guidance.

In a statement Thursday, Strzok attorney Aitan Goelman said his client welcomed the release of the transcript.

"Just to clarify, we were asked to provide any work-related communications on Special Agent Strzok's personal devices".

The FBI is investigating the private server Hillary Clinton used while Secretary of State and whether Clinton or her aides broke any laws in their handling of classified information.

As deputy chief of FBI's counterintelligence division, Strzok oversaw the Trump-Russia investigation, dubbed Crossfire Hurricane. He said under oath the FBI investigative team unanimously believed Clinton shouldn't be prosecuted. McCabe has said he could not recall such a meeting taking place.

Page went on to suggest that the Obama-era Justice Department urged them away from that idea, saying charging Clinton on that statute was "constitutionally vague and not sustainable".
