How much of a celebrity will Harry and Meghan’s baby be?

How much of a celebrity will Harry and Meghan’s baby be?

It will coincide with the move of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before their baby arrives.

Buckingham Palace announced the development in a statement: 'The Queen has agreed to the creation of a new Household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May past year.

Sara Latham, an American who is now managing partner at Freuds PR agency, was named as the duke's new communications chief.

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex get ready to welcome their first child in April, will they follow Kate and William's example?

"Sara Latham has been appointed to head up communications for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, reporting directly to The Queen's Communication Secretary", a statement released by Kensington Palace said.

The Queen announced the Sussexes will have their own Household - which will be created with the support of both the Queen and the Prince of Wales.

More recently, Ms Latham was a key figure in the 2016 Presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton where she was Chief of Staff to Campaign Manager John Podesta.

The Duke of Sussex now has his own private office, which has been supporting The Duchess since the engagement of Their Royal Highnesses in November 2017. He was also a speechwriter for the former Brexit Secretary David Davis.

His responsibilities will include advising on their charitable initiatives - including work on the environment, mental health, and early childhood - and supporting a review of the charitable structures that underpin their work.

It appears that numerous most senior staff, now at Kensington Palace, are staying to work with the Cambridges.

"She's got celebrity friends, her instincts would be perhaps to take the baby to NY and show it off to friends, maybe push against what the royals and the firm and those around her might advise and expect".

What does it all mean?

It also reflects the harsh reality that William is the senior brother, who will one day be King. Since Prince William is second in line to the British royal throne and Prince Harry is sixth, the split of their offices was inevitable.
