‘Avengers: Endgame’ trailer: Captain Marvel joins the team of superheroes

Expected faces, lots of hand-wringing and dramatic slow motion, and of course it has to finish with a quip. You can get a refresher by watching the trailer below. Have at it below.

The latest and presumably final trailer for the conclusion to last year's Avengers: Infinity War has arrived and it's filled with sadness and dread.

The trailer showcases flashbacks of the past in the MCU. Let us know in the comments section below.

The trailer closes with the appearance from the newest Avenger, Captain Marvel, who doesn't flinch when Thor sends his hammer flying by her face. We can't help but think of Kate Bishop, a teen heroine who takes up the Hawkeye mantle in the comics.

With half our heroes killed at the end of Infinity War, it's all but certain that some of those dusty fates will be permanent.

Shang-Chi joins an ever-growing field of developing projects that will reshape the MCU following the events of Avengers: Endgame . Cretton previously directed Short Term 12 , the 2013 indie that starred Brie Larson, Rami Malek, Lakeith Stanfield , and more.

We know Shuri is missing based on the first trailer for the film; will Okoye and a hopefully still-unsnapped Queen Ramonda lead the Wakandan survivors?

Interestingly, we also see Rocket (from Guardians of the Galaxy) atop the shoulder of War Machine, Tony Stark's best friend: we love it when such worlds collide.

Here we get our first look at the new Captain America costume and shield. That film also set up the idea of the time travel being possible in the Quantum Realm, which seems to confirm the long-standing theory that Endgame would feature time travel.

And as the Captain Marvel post-credits already indicated, Carol Danvers is here to even the odds.

"Hey@Marvel, we heard about Tony Stark". SO, yeah, they aren't really wanting for superheroes in spite of the Decimation from Thanos. We were expecting the second trailer to drop soon after Captain Marvel, but we didn't realize how quietly Marvel would release it on YouTube.
