Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder closer to unification fight, says Eddie Hearn

He was keen not to have Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn involved in the negotiations after a number of failed attempts to agree a deal with the Matchroom chief to face his fighter. The report claims they've offered Wilder $50 million (£38 million) in a two-fight deal.

WBC heavyweight champion Wilder, 33, and his team met with the DAZN executive John Skipper to discuss a deal with the view of an undisputed championship fight with Joshua. "But there is now a strategy in place and a route in place that could lead us to an undisputed fight".

"It's the biggest fight in world boxing by a long, long way", Hearn added.

"There's a clear desire from both sides to make the fight". There's a long way to go but we'll see where it goes.

Will Wilder strike a deal with DAZN? Wilder turned down an offer from Top Rank last month to fight this spring or early summer for $12.5 million followed by a rematch of his December 1 draw with lineal champion Tyson Fury, who recently signed with Top Rank, for at least $20 million this fall.

This Pi Day Comes With a World Record
A member of Google's staff has broken the world record for calculating Pi to the highest number of digits - at 31 trillion . Even with Google's infrastructure on her side, determining trillions of digits was no simple task.

There are, of course, many details to iron out, including the prospect of a two-fight deal where each fighter has the right to an immediate rematch and the location of the fight.

The six-bout global partnership, which was agreed between DAZN and GGG Promotions, will see the former unified middleweight world champion fight twice a year on the over-the-top (OTT) platform for the next three years.

Golovkin is set to return to the ring in June, with his opponent to be announced at a later date. But I think there's an opportunity there for someone to be a mediator to get the fight done. It will be the first time the 36-year-old has fought since Alvarez inflicted the first loss of his career in September.

Golovkin's bouts will be available in all DAZN markets, in addition to his native Kazakhstan.

DiBella recently arranged for Wilder and Skipper to speak over the phone about a week ago as a way for them to meet each other and get the ball rolling, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
