Local waste advocate Leo Murray, who has been asked to speak at the Tauranga central event, said the conversation now needed to be about what children had to say as "we have heard far too much from the adults". "And I think it is wonderful to see that hundreds of thousands of children from all around the world are realizing this and are making their voices heard".

"I think we have reached a tipping point where enough scientists are telling it like it is and not being so afraid of being alarmist", Thunberg told New Scientist on Wednesday, adding it's been frustrating that many people are paying more attention to her age than the issue at hand. "Why should we go and study for a future that may not exist anymore?"

The global movement was sparked by 15-year-old Swedish schoolgirl Greta Thunberg, who decided last August to stay away from school until the Swedish general election on September 9.

Greta Thunberg, who was named one of Time's Most Influential Teens of 2018, reportedly landed on the list of nominees this year after three Norwegian lawmakers put her name up, according to Norwegian media outlet VG.

Teddy Bridgewater set to meet with Dolphins
The Dolphins do need a starting quarterback, so it is possible Bridgewater could find himself as the lead signal-caller in Miami. Bridgewater appeared to reference the anniversary of the Brees signing in a report shortly before the signing was reported.

More than 10,000 people have registered their interest in a Facebook invite for the 'Melbourne School Strike 4 Climate', which is being held at the Old Treasury Building on Spring Street.

"We are striking because marginalized communities across our nation - especially communities of color, disabled communities, and low- income communities are already disproportionately impacted by climate change".

Greta Thunberg has been nominated as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. Freddy Andre Oevstegaard and two additional members of the Socialist Left Party in Norway have confirmed they submitted Thunberg's name to the Nobel Committee earlier this year, saying they believe "the massive movement Greta has set in motion is a very important peace contribution".

"I'm passionate and terrified of what our future is looking like, our generation wants and needs change".
