Australian man uses smartphone as shield against arrow

The police statement did not identify the model of the phone.

A NSW man has had a remarkable brush with death after an arrow fired at him struck the phone he was using to take a photo of the alleged perpetrator.

We expect a lot from our phones: communications, internet access, entertainment.

A man has been charged after he allegedly fired a bow and arrow at another man, with the victim walking away suffering only a minor injury thanks to his iPhone.

An Australian man was able to shield himself with his phone after he came under attack from a bow and arrow-wielding man, police said Wednesday.

Why Alia Bhatt wants Varun Dhawan to call her ma'am
When asked about working together in the fourth film, Alia Bhatt admitted that Varun Dhawan is very close to her heart. Then Alia had to climb on a carriage and I was pretty sure that she would fall. "He is a fantastic actor".

Now here's where things get weirder.

Police later arrested a 39-year-old man at the scene, where he has since been charged with assault and damage offences.

The BBC reports the 43-year-old was outside of his home in Nimbin, New South Wales, when the 39-year-old suspect is said to have approached him, bow and arrow in hand.

However, due to the high impact made by the arrow that hit the phone, a small gash was caused that didn't require significant medical treatment.

He was refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court on April 15.
