$448M Up For Grabs In Latest Powerball Drawing

The estimated $495 million top prize would be the 8th largest Powerball lottery jackpot in the game's history and rank 14th all-time in US lottery history.

One player did manage to pick the 5 white balls but not the PowerBall, earning them $2 million.

Powerball says its jackpot has soared to $495 million, the eighth-largest in the game's history, following the most recent drawing. The lump sum payment before taxes would be about $271.7 million.

The winning numbers are 18-36-45-47-69 Powerball 14 Power Play 3x. The third ticket, sold in Florida, is worth $2 million because the purchaser paid extra for the Power Play. The red Powerball number was 14. Two of those tickets were sold in NY and are worth $1 million each.

First Person On Mars Likely To Be A Woman
Bridenstine did not specify if the space agency had a particular woman in mind. "The goal is to get back on track" he declared. Wicker noted that there wasn't much time between now and mid-2020, but Bridenstine said there might be time enough.

Lottery officials say two lucky people in NY won $1 million, while one person in Florida took home $2 million after matching some of the numbers. If there is no jackpot victor, the amount grows larger for the next drawing. But if you were to beat the long odds and hit the jackpot, you'd have an important decision to make: cash or annuity.

Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

The drawings are held at 10:59 p.m.

Statistically, you only have a one in 292.2 million chance of winning the big prize.
