Warwick and Leamington MP will vote against "catastrophic" no deal Brexit

She said: "This tells us everything that is wrong with a no-deal scenario".

David Cameron has warned MPs that failing to rule out a no-deal Brexit would be a "disaster" for Britain.

But despite Corbyn's call for fresh poll, the party is understood to not have immediate plans to call for a vote of no confidence that could precipitate what would be the third general election in four years.

She will tell MPs whether she will vote for no deal or not when she opens Wednesday's debate.

The EU said no deal plans were "more important than ever" after the defeat.

She said she would allow Conservative MPs a so-called free vote on Wednesday when parliament will vote on whether it supports or rejects leaving the European Union without a deal.

Jeremy Corbyn will whip his MPs to vote against a plan that would see the United Kingdom crash out of Europe without agreements for future co-operation with Brussels. "That's why MPs must reject this deal today", the politician noted.

Battling against her ailment the Prime Minister made a statement after the result of the vote was read out, saying: "I continue to believe that by far the best outcome is the United Kingdom leaves the European Union in orderly fashion with a deal".

South Cambridgeshire MP Heidi Allen, a member of the Independent Group, said she was surprised at how large the loss was for the government, adding that she now senses a real opportunity.

Mrs May agreed but insisted her deal is a "good deal" and she wants the United Kingdom to leave with a good deal.

"If this deal narrowly scrapes through tonight - I don't think it will - we believe the option should be to go back to the people for a confirmatory vote on it", Corbyn said, suggesting there is little sign that Labour will reactivate the idea soon.

"I know it's incredibly hard but I ask them to trust that at every stage of this, I will absolutely put their needs and our economy in South Cambridgeshire first and that although it feels very turbulent, I do now sense a real chance for optimism that there might be a better, softer Brexit, or a second referendum".

In his concluding remarks, he said: "The Prime Minister's deal has failed, she no longer has the ability to lead, this is a rudderless Government in the face of a huge national crisis".

What isn't clear is how the prime minister actually intends to dig herself out of this awful political hole.

However in a seemingly confusing loophole in no deal plan, Northern Ireland's border would remain open at least "temporarily" and goods entering from the Republic would not face tariffs to preserve the Good Friday agreement.

Atletico Madrid is back in the round of 16 after failing to make it out of the group stage last season. However, following a VAR review it was declared that Ronaldo had fouled Jan Oblak in the build-up.
