Thousands of Australian Gmail users report problems with service

Gmail and Google Drive appear to have been hit by a global outage with hundreds of users from different countries having lodged outage reports.

While the current disruption was limited to certain Google services, the January outage had taken down majority of Google's consumer-facing products, including Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Google Groups, Hangouts, Hangouts Chat, and Google+. Google seems to be experiencing an outage that is affecting several of its services, with the issue affecting customers across the U.S., Canada, Japan, Malaysia and Australia. We'll be updating the post when we learn out more.

Drive users will find it hard to upload and download files. This includes Gmail and Drive.

According to the report, they shared that people are unable to send out emails using their Gmail accounts. "Message could not be sent".

Google hasn't released an official statement yet but is responding to individual users on social media. "Check your network and try again", is the message that these users said comes while sending email. Many users reported that they were greeted with a Black screen when they tried using the Street View feature.
