Game of Thrones Season 8 Episodes Runtimes Reportedly Revealed

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episodes Runtimes Reportedly Revealed

I'm pretty sure HBO never put any kind of limitations on how long episodes should be and we have actually had a longer episode already in Season 7.

Season 8 of Game of Thrones is nearly upon us and whilst we have heard various rumoured runtimes for Season 8, as yet we had received no official confirmation of this.

The upcoming HBO schedule seems to reveal the official runtime for all six episodes in Game of Thrones Season 8, which premieres April 14 and will bring the epic fantasy series to a conclusion. The premiere, which launches on April 14th, looks to clock in at fifty-four minutes.

With only six episodes to fit a whole season's worth of story into, Thrones will have to make the most of every minute of season 8. Reported James Hibberd, who frequently writes about Thrones for EW, alludes to a report from back in January.

With Meghan Markle's delivery date approaching, Broadway star Audra McDonald has had enough of the Duchess' outspoken critics. It has been reported that Meghan is losing her third member of staff as she prepares to become a mum for the first time.

In the eighth and final season, there will be two episodes at 80 minutes with the fifth episode having the same runtime as the season finale. Should that be true, it would certainly satisfy fans looking to go out with a film-sized bang.

Director David Nutter has also previously hinted that the episodes would be longer than average. The report stated that while Episode 1 and 2 would be around 60 minutes each, the next four will be approximately 80.

Are you excited for Game of Thrones? "I'm very satisfied with that, and I think that the fans will be satisfied with that, too". Let us know in the comments! Now we have word that the scope of the season is slightly smaller than that, because the lengths of the first two episodes of season eight have been revealed.

The runtimes for Season 8 get progressively longer as the season unfolds, but is not uncommon for Game of Thrones.
