Florida State Officially Lands Wisconsin QB Alex Hornibrook

Hornibrook posted a picture on his Instagram account of himself and Taggart with the caption, "I'm excited to announce that I'll be playing my final year of college football at Florida State".

Former Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook will be transferring to Florida State, according to 247Sports' Noles 247.com and other sources close to the situation - including ESPN on Sunday.

The Seminoles are in need of depth at quarterback. As a graduate transfer, Hornibrook will be eligible immediately.

Green Bay Packers solidify secondary with Adrian Amos signing
Amos has ranked among the top 10 safeties in coverage grade each of the last two seasons, according to Pro Football Focus . Amos registered 73 tackles, nine pass breakups, two interceptions, two tackles for losses and one fumble recovery in 2018.

The former Wisconsin quarterback started the last three seasons for the Badgers but made a decision to leave the program after winter workouts following an injury-riddled redshirt-junior season in 2018.

After redshirting his first season with the program, Hornibrook became the team's starter in 2016 as a redshirt freshman, but often split time with senior Bart Houston.

That part is key for FSU, which had been dangerously thin at the position after dismissing starter Deondre Francois last month. In nine games in 2018, Hornibrook completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 1,532 yards and 13 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. In that campaign, he threw for 2,644 yards, 25 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. On one hand, he won consistently and dominated in big games, especially in an Orange Bowl win over Miami, where he threw four touchdowns.
