The Sinking City Gets New PS4 Release Date

The Sinking City Gets New PS4 Release Date

A couple weeks ago, the March 21 release date for Lovecraftian detective adventure The Sinking City mysteriously disappeared from Steam, leaving players wondering about the state of development.

Recently, Frogwares and Bigben revealed that The Sinking City is a game that's not going to help players out.

The Sinking City is Lovecraftian but not Lovecraft, set in a half-flooded city which houses numerous fishfaces and tentacles familiar from the famed racist's work without being directly based on any story.

The reasons for the delay are explained as to release the game in a less crowded period and to offer players the best possible game experience.

"We decided that we want to release our game in a less-crowded timeframe", Frogwares community manager Sergey Oganesyan explained in a video. The new release date is June 27th. Quite how much it leans into "and then there are Cthulhus and you're a mentalist and it's time to shoot elder gods" remains to be seen, but I hope not.

R Kelly released from jail after $161,000 child support bill is paid
Kelly walked out of the Cook County Jail just before noon wearing a red jacket over a grey hoodie, with the hood over his head. The performer, 52, was arrested on Wednesday over the unpaid support for three children he has with Andrea Lee .

Frogwares' upcoming H.P. Lovecraft inspired mystery horror game is getting pushed.

Check out the official The Sinking City website for more information on the game.

Originally scheduled for launch this month, the developers say they need more time for improvements and polishing of the game.

The Sinking City takes place in the damp, misty 1920s town of Oakmont, Massachusetts, where you play a beleaguered war veteran turned private eye who travels to the town in search of a cure for his creeping insanity.
