Sherrod Brown says he is not running for president

Brown said he'll continue to call out what he calls Trump's "phony populism". Brown told reporters that he and Biden talk "from time to time" but had last connected before his Senate re-election win in November, "when he was in OH campaigning with me or for me".

And she said she's confident one of the other Democrats in the race or thinking about it will be able to win the White House.

Three other possible Democratic contenders - former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, and U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley of OR - also announced this week that they would not run.

Throughout the past couple of months, Brown has campaigned in four early primary and caucus states. "There are plenty of people running for the White House".

Brown said on November 12, 2018, less than a week after winning his third term to the Senate, that he was considering a presidential run.

"In that sense, it was mission accomplished", Brown said. "I think I'd be the only Democrat on that stage that came out for marriage equality 20 years ago". "I will keep fighting for all workers across the country". He praised the president for imposing tariffs on imported steel, which he argued would make US steel companies more competitive and rejuvenate employment in the industry.

The second set of charges are related to the second interview Smollett had with police about the alleged attack later that day. He is expected to cut a plea deal with authorities, according to experts cited by ABC .

He has watched from the sidelines as more than a dozen other Democrats, mainly from the party's ascendant progressive wing and most with considerably less national exposure than Biden, crowd into the race. He said his most effective role remains in the Senate. "If we have to choose between the two, we lose". And make sure to leave a rating and review! So, I will not run for President in 2020. His was a rare Democratic victory in a state that elected Republicans to every statewide office, not including the Ohio Supreme Court, and with a margin of victory smaller than election experts expected. Former Vice President Joe Biden threatens to eclipse both of them if he runs, with his Pennsylvania roots and blue-collar backing.

Brown is now married to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Connie Schultz, who resigned from the Cleveland Plain Dealer in 2011 because she felt her neutrality would be questioned due to their relationship.

Brown said he's not backing a specific candidate for the Democratic nomination.

"I mean Biden's been talking about the dignity of work forever", Strickland said.

"It is how we beat Trump, and it is how we should govern".
