Perry, a native of OH, was famous for starring in Beverly Hills 90210 from 1990 to 2000.

- A publicist for Luke Perry says the "Riverdale" and "Beverly Hills, 90210" star has died. At the time a spokesman for the 52-year-old actor told the Press Association that Perry is "currently under observation at the hospital".

The family has not provided additional details at this time.

Perry was born in Mansfield, Ohio, on October 11, 1966, and grew up in nearby Fredericktown.

Born and raised in rural Fredericktown, Ohio, Perry was tapped for heartthrob status along with Jason Priestley on "Beverly Hills 90210", which ran from 1990 to 2000.

Ferrari clearly had the fastest auto in the final days of preseason testing the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. If, that is, the Italian team can keep it on the track.

Not long ago, news went live confirming Perry's passing in light of a medical emergency the actor suffered last week. He had more recently been starring in Riverdale as Fred Andrews, the father of character Archie. In the late 1980s, he took on soap opera roles and television commercials in NY before landing the "Beverly Hills 90210" part.

Perry will appear posthumously in the film as the real-life Canadian-American actor Wayne Maunder, who starred in the CBS Western TV show Lancer. While a reboot of the show was announced just last week, Perry had not yet signed on due to scheduling conflicts with Riverdale.

Perry married Rachel Sharp in 1993.

Luke was survived by his two children, Jack, 21, and Sophie, 18.
