English Premier League match report Watford v Leicester City 03 March 2019

Watford's Andre Gray scored a stoppage-time victor as Leicester City began life under new boss Brendan Rodgers in underwhelming fashion, suffering a 2-1 defeat at his former club in the Premier League on Sunday.

Jamie Vardy's equaliser seemed to have earned Rodgers' men a draw at Vicarage Road on Sunday after the striker cancelled out an early header by Troy Deeney 15 minutes from time.

"It looked like only one team would win the game".

Adrian Mariappa should have given Watford an early lead but fired straight at Schmeichel from six yards out, though the hosts opened the scoring in the fifth minute.

Watford roared out of the blocks and Deeney's faintest of flicks from Gerard Deulofeu's free kick carried the ball past Kasper Schmeichel.

Wang will face fifth-seeded Sofia Kenin of the United States, a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 victor over 18-year-old Canadian Bianca Andreescu . Sascha completed the set with three winners at 5-4 and a 24-shot rally that ended with a forehand error from the Aussie.

Rodgers' side missed the chance to snatch all three points when captain Morgan glanced James Maddison's cross wide, and it proved costly.

A video also surfaced where Celtic fans were singing: "I hope you die in your sleep Brendan Rodgers. with a bullet from the IRA".

Asked if he could return to Celtic as manager, Northern Irishman Rodgers said: "Yes".

"It's true. we don't know what they can do because there is a new manager and maybe they choose other players or another shape", Gracia told a news conference.

Leicester responded after the break as Jamie Vardy ran onto a fine through ball from midfielder Youri Tielemens and dinked his finish over Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster for his 10th league goal of the season.
