Active Wind Chill Advisory

Wind chills could reach unsafe levels tonight as the actual temperatures fall below zero for most areas.

Elsewhere tonight, expect a wind chill mainly from zero to five degrees. It has also prompted a rare March Wind Chill Advisory for the entire area Sunday night into Monday where wind chill values could drop to minus 30 degrees. In this cold of weather, you will need to dress in layers and limit time spent outdoors.

By Monday afternoon, wind chills should start to climb, but it will still remain very cold.

Temperatures may not reach 10-degrees across counties to the north along the Illinois-Wisconsin border and 15-degrees well south of Interstate-80 today.

Side streets will still be snow-packed and icy for the Monday morning drive. The best chance for a broken record will be Monday's high temperature where the coldest high temp on record for March 4 sits at 12°.
