"The Lion King" Special Look; New Poster Released

Some fans have argued that the new clip doesn't quite show us anything we haven't seen before, with Disney perhaps just getting in on the Oscars hype to remind us all what they've got coming up for the year ahead.

Disney has been making live-action versions of its classic animated films to not just cash on the nostalgia factor, but also to win over the current generation of moviegoers who are not acquainted with those stories. The Lion King is sure to be a movie-going event unlike any other.

A brand new TV spot and poster for The Lion King dropped on Sunday night and it is taking people back to the original.

The British parliament voted 432-202 against May's deal in January, a defeat by the biggest margin in modern British history. And I think that any extension of Article 50, in that sense, isn't addressing the issue.

Coming out on July 19, 2019, The Lion King has an all-star cast featuring Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, and Seth Rogen as Pumbaa.

This year, as part of a spate of classic animated 2D movies that Disney is adding a third D to, we will see the release of 2019's reimagining of The Lion King, to be directed by Jon Favreau, who was similarly responsible for the recent Jungle Book do-over. Of course, not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile.

But "The Lion King" redux will have to wait until after another legendary beast in Disney's menagerie, "Dumbo", flies into theaters on March 29. Simba idolises his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. Let us know down below!
