Liverpool face anxious wait over Roberto Firmino in countdown to Merseyside derby

Liverpool once again sit at the top of the Premier League table, but their margin for error has been whittled down in recent weeks to the point that they no longer have any.

The 21-year-old has been in great form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has 12 goals in all competitions this season prior to the game against Liverpool on Sunday.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the club are in an injury crisis after four players were injured during the recent league clash against Liverpool.

Mata, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard had to be replaced inside the opening 45 minutes of a goalless draw, while Marcus Rashford nursed his way through the pain of an ankle ailment.

Theresa May Delays Second Meaningful Vote On Her Brexit Deal
He wrote in the Sunday Mirror: "This week we have come together in the national interest, to say "enough is enough". Theresa May said a 29 March deal was "still within our grasp'".

The exact severity of the problem has not yet been discovered, although the likelihood of him recovering in time to play a game just three days later seems slim.

Liverpool, who also lost Roberto Firmino in a stop-start opening 45 minutes, could not find a way through United's hard-working defence in the second half in what was another below-par display from Jurgen Klopp's side. I'm sure we'll look back on it and know we're top of the league. "Coming to win at Old Trafford with 11 games to go was a statement moment". Everyone can see the improvement from the team we played at Anfield to the team we played. In this game, on days when United are beatable you have to do it and we didn't do it. We need to work on that ... We need to take that as a mark of respect and not shy away from it, stand up to that and show them why there is respect.

"I have never seen it before, three hamstrings in the first half", Solskjaer told a news conference.

"In reality, I have to be grateful, as it is an uncommon record for a football player, but this one came during a derby".
