Michelle Obama’s text exchange with mom is so relatable

The former first lady made a surprise appearance onstage with Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Jennifer Lopez.

Later, Michelle's mom texted her to ask if she got to chance to meet any "real stars" at the Grammys.

The former first lady took to Instagram Wednesday to share a text exchange with mom Marian Robinson.

Tonight in Phoenix, I shared this text thread from my mom from #Grammys night, and I just had to share it with all of you.

So while the audience in attendance cheered Obama as she spoke and applauded after she had finished, her mother was more interested in whether her daughter had met any "real celebrity" at the event!

Obama told her mom that she was "a real star" but she brushed her off.

Michelle ignored her mother's comment, noting that she had told her she would be at the ceremony, to which Marian replied: 'No you did not.

Obama ended the exchange by writing "And I AM A real the way".

"Alright, y'all", she said with a laugh. 'I was anxious about my grandkids'.

'She had a stream of people. And then they'd leave'. "#TextsFromMom", wrote Ms Obama while sharing the screenshots, adding a laughing face emoji.

Guess her mom is no different from ours, and most of us didn't even get to Harvard. When I wasn't home at the end of the day, grandma was there.

'I mean, you think about my girls were being driven around in a motorcade of three cars with at least four grown adults with guns in each of those cars.

'Well, Mom would ride in the vehicle with her to make it feel like a regular carpool'.
