Lottery winner claims jackpot wearing ‘Scream’ mask to hide identity

A man who won almost $160 million Jamaican dollars concealed his identity by wearing a "Scream" mask while claiming his lotto prize.

The person in the mask was only identified as "A. Campbell" and claimed the $158,400,000 prize which amounts to nearly $1.2 million in USA dollars. Supreme Ventures tweeted photos last week showing him - in costume - collecting his prize, then posing with his giant cheque.

Donning a white ghostly mask made popular by the film, the victor, identified only as A. Campbell, arrived at the Spanish Court Hotel in Kingston to pick up his giant check, Inside Edition reports. The person arrived at the lotto centre wearing the mask from the 1996 horror flick, along with a pair of black rubber gloves.

Campbell reportedly purchased the ticket for $200 in Jamaican money, and took 54 days to claim the winning ticket.

'I looked at my ticket [that night] and ran into my bathroom and said: 'I won!

The victor apparently didn't want anyone to know he won $158,400,000 Jamaican dollars, or some $1,171,424 in US money.

"My head hurt me for three days because I was thinking so much". I won!' From the day I found out that I won, I've been sick.

Winning the lottery may seem like a dream come true, but the fear of getting robbed after that? I haven't found it yet, but I'll be looking for one soon. He plans to buy a home with some of the cash.

While the masked victor didn't reveal much personal information, he did say he was going to invest the money in a house, according to Loop.
