Irving expected to be day-to-day with knee injury

Kyrie Irving has been diagnosed with a strained right knee after an MRI in Boston, the team announced Sunday.

Irving stayed in the game for two more minutes before exiting, although the Clippers scored eight unanswered points during that stretch, while Irving missed a driving layup.

It was the largest comeback in the National Basketball Association in the last two seasons and the largest in Clippers history.

The Celtics let an 18-point lead evaporate in a loss to the Lakers on Thursday, then allowed the Clippers to erase a 28-point deficit en route to a 123-112 win over Boston on Saturday. "But it is disappointed to have 20-point leads in consecutive games and lose, that's for sure", Stevens told reporters.

Kyrie Irving #11 of the Boston Celtics looks on during the first half against the New York Knicks at TD Garden on October 24, 2017 in Boston, Massachusetts. Now I am not going to overreact over a simple loss in February, but this is no simple loss.

Freezing rain to hit Chicago area Sunday night
Snowfall amounts will range from an inch to 3 inches (2.5 centimeters to 7.6 centimeters) through Sunday night. The snow is expected to end by Tuesday morning, but the wind will pick up, so blowing snow may be an issue.

"I mean, for me, it's not really about the loss", Morris said, via ESPN.

In a season which has seen the Boston Celtics fight through their fair share of ups and downs, last night's collapse against the Los Angeles may have been one of their worst showings. Guys are hanging their head. With Toronto, Milwaukee and Philadelphia all making big additions at the trade deadline, the last thing the Celtics need is an injury to a key player.

"I watch all these other teams in the league, guys up on the bench, up on the court; they're doing stuff that looks like they're enjoying their teammate's success, they're enjoying everything and they're playing together". I just don't see the joy in the game.

"For us to be a championship team, man, this (crap) has to change", he said. Whatever that takes, I'm with it. "That's the goal. The trade deadline's over". If you want to take me out of the lineup and get some juice in it, I'm with it.
