Alliance of American Football debuts with strong ratings

Wolford finished the night completing 18 of 29 attempts for 275 yards and scores of 5, 36, 4 and 30 yards with a pair of two-point conversion passing scores sprinkled in.

It remains to be seen whether the AAF catches hold or falls to the wayside like previous alternative football failures, such as the UFL and XFL.

The results from Week 1 featured lots of familiar faces.

Steve Spurrier and the Apollos poured it on the Atlanta Legends, scoring 40 points and establishing itself as one of The Alliance's best offenses in the early going. Richardson had 23 carries for 58 yards and two touchdowns for the Birmingham Iron.

Meanwhile, she said former President Obama and former President Clinton wanted border walls during their time in public service. Last year, she wore a graphic white gown with the shape of an unborn fetus and the printed slogan, "I choose life".

Hackenberg and the Express will get a shot at redemption next Saturday against the Arizona Hotshots.

Former NFL quarterback Christian Hackenberg, whose middle name is Blaize, made his return to the gridiron on Sunday as a member of the AAF's Memphis Express. The Express offense must sort itself out soon, as they next face the upstart Arizona Hotshots. The second game featuring the Salt Lake Stallions and the Arizona Hotshots will air at 8 p.m. EST on the NFL Network.

K Nick Folk, still just 34-years-old, drilled 53-yard field goal. The AAF has secured deals to broadcast the rest of its games for this debut season on a host of platforms including TNT, the NFL Network, CBSSN, and B/R Live.
