Tanushree Dutta backs Kangana Ranaut, says she is 'bonafide A++ list actress'

Tanushree Dutta backs Kangana Ranaut, says she is 'bonafide A++ list actress'

She called Kangana an "A++ actress" in a new interview. She also said that Alia doesn't have a spine to give her own statements. I don't think I have done anything intentionally to upset her.

While lashing out at B-Townies, Kangana also targeted Alia Bhatt for not returning favours.

The list of dignitaries and celebrities coming out to acknowledge actress Kangana Ranaut's directorial debut in Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi is increasing day by day and the latest entry into the list is Arunachal Pradesh CM, Pema Khandu. "I suggested that she grows some spine and supports an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism".

Tanushree added that while she hadn't seen Manikarnika yet, her parent watched it opening week and were all praises for Kangana's performance. But the success did not come easy to the actress as she had to go through a row of controversies with her team during the filming and then the release of the film. "I didn't do anything to get a reaction like this". She even said that Alia's existence is all about being Karan Johar's puppet. She wants the successful ones to take responsibility of their stardom.

Responding to Kangana's comments, Alia said, "I would like to react to her personally if she has any complaints".

"Tanushree, who is now in the USA, said that 'besides being a powerhouse performer, she has truly set an example of someone who has made a unique and celebrated place for herself in an industry tough to conquer for an outsider. This Damsel has truly made it all the way despite all the distress; leaving the frat boys club of Bollywood and their dames twiddling their thumbs in abject contempt for her success".

For those who aren't aware of the whole incident, recently a biopic of Jhansi ki rani "Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi" was released featuring Kangana Ranaut as Manikarnika. She lashed out at Bollywood celebs for "ganging up" against her. For me, it was not a Karan Johar film or an Alia film, for me, it was a film on Sehmat Khan, the girl who has given her everything to the country.
