Singer Dresses as Border Wall Complete With Barb Wire at Grammys

Joy Villa showed up to the 2019 Grammy Awards in what's sure to be one of the most controversial ― and most talked about ― red carpet looks of the night.

One such star was singer-songwriter Joy Villa, who donned a gown clearly inspired by the Texas-Mexico border wall that Trump wants to build.

After her red carpet appearance, Villa took to Twitter to defend her pro-Trump attire and the president. As noted by Entertainment Tonight, Rebel, whose real name is Ricky Godinez, also showed off the year "2020" on his suit jacket in obvious support of a 2020 presidential bid from Trump.

Meanwhile, she said former President Obama and former President Clinton wanted border walls during their time in public service. I don't listen to haters.

"I'm part-Latina, I'm black", she added, saying the dress was her way of making a statement to her progressive peers who were at the event. That gown read "Make America Great Again" on its front and "Trump" on its train. Keep America great. That's right, baby.

Rebel has previously posted photographs of himself outside of the Trump Tower, retweets President Trump, and defended his support of Trump in a 2017 interview.
