Wizards trade Otto Porter to Bulls for Bobby Portis, Jabari Parker

The Philadelphia 76ers made somewhat of a splash by acquiring Tobias Harris from the Los Angeles Clippers to boost their already loaded starting five, and now the Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls have gotten into the trade action as well.

The Washington Wizards are sending Otto Porter to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker, according to a report from The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The Wizards changed up their front court in the aftermath of the news that Wall needs surgery for a ruptured left Achilles tendon and is expected to miss much - if not all - of next season.

The Bulls signed Parker to a two-year, $40-million deal in July, holding a team option on the second season. Chicago entered Wednesday's game against New Orleans with a 12-41 record and 15 losses in 17 games.

Porter has spent his entire six-year career with the Wizards after they selected him with the third overall pick in the 2013 draft. The former No. 2 overall selection warrants another chance somewhere, and though it may not end up being Washington, the Wizards will have the added bonus of the cap space he creates this summer. The trade also drops the Wizards' tax bill from $8.96 million this season to $3.34 million.

Manchester United can't stay unbeaten under Solskjaer - Herrera
A 2-2 draw with Burnley aside, the Red Devils have enjoyed the ideal start to life under their former striker. Marcus Rashford's is set for talks over a new deal with Manchester United ( The Telegraph ).

The 23-year-old played in 39 games with the Bulls before being dealt, averaging 14.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 26.7 minutes per game while shooting 47.4 percent from the floor, 32.5 percent from three-point range and 73.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Parker's first and only season with the Bulls was a massive disappointment.

His homecoming didn't go the way he hoped. Initially a starter, Parker was eventually moved to the bench by head coach Fred Hoiberg, then under Boylen was constantly in and out of the lineup.

Portis is only 23 and in his fourth National Basketball Association season but had taken on a distinct leadership role with the Bulls. "Right now, I've got a better opportunity".
