According to Nintendo, the game is being delayed to make sure it's up to the company's usual quality standards.

"Together with Nintendo and LINE, NHN Entertainment, which has released and operated various online and mobile games, will take part in the development and operation of Dr. Mario World".

It will be interesting to see how well Mario Kart Tour performs when it launches later in the summer. Unfortunately, details are limited about what this title will include.

Nintendo announced last night that it will be bringing the classic color-matching puzzle game Dr. Mario to Android and iOS devices in 60 countries as Dr. Mario World early this summer.

Nintendo could release a new smaller version of the Nintendo Switch to give the console another big push.

Looking to the quality of Nintendo's past mobile efforts, this will likely be good news for players in the end. The Dr. Mario series stretches all the way back to 1990, when the original game hit the NES and Game Boy. Instead, Nintendo opts for dumbed-down spin-offs that are better suited for touchscreen controls and steal none of the Switch's thunder. Miitomo may have come out a little feature-barren and arguably half-baked at first, but Nintendo learned its lesson and every mobile game since has been top-notch.
