Kristoff St. John, 'Young and the Restless,' star found dead at 52

The Young and The Restless star Kristoff St. John has died after a possible alcohol overdose, RadarOnline.com reports.

Kristoff St. John, 52, was found in his California home after friends went to check on him, the entertainment news website reports. When paramedics arrived, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to TMZ, there was no sign of foul play.

Young and the Restless stars Kristoff St. John, who plays Neil Winters, and Sharon Case, who plays Sharon Newman, are pictured in 2000. He was 52 years old.

In 2017, Kristoff threatened suicide and was placed on a 72-hour hold for psychiatric evaluation.

Kristoff and Mia's son, Julian, died by suicide in 2014 while seeking treatment at the unnamed facility. He is an actor and while he may appear whole on the outside, his heart is broken.

"Sad to hear about Kristoff St. John. As a society, we need to start taking mental health seriously and realize that no one is immune". By the late 1980s, St. John landed a recurring role on Charlie & Co. before The Young and the Restless in 1991, on which he starred until his death.

As news of St John's death spread Monday morning, actress Yvette Nicole Brown was among the first celebrities to pay tribute him on social media.
