Huawei 5G Foldable Phone Teased Ahead Of Launch

Nearly a week back, Huawei gave a briefing on 5G.

Huawei revealed its plans for a foldable device last October. All those announcements seem to be exactly true as the company is prepping to launch their device on Feb 24. The radical new design is also viewed as a compelling way to encourage upgrading in a mature market, in which we're holding onto devices longer and phone sales are slowing, along with the lure of 5G and gaming optimization.

Recently, the company has given a briefing on 5G and has enlightened its new Balong 5000 5G modem and the company's base station hardware.

Instead, the worker claimed to be leaving the country to visit family rather than fleeing the USA with the secrets. The news comes after another Apple employee was accused of stealing trade secrets about the project in July 2018.


This device is similar to the Samsung foldable phone concept as the front display is nearly full screen with thinner bezels and you get a larger screen size with the internal flexible display. The home screen can be seen on the outside while the bigger screen is placed inside which can be seen when the device is unfolded. The BOE is a company with headquarters in Beijing and R&D centers around the world. Letsgodigital has also created few renderings of the foldable device, which gives a better idea of how the foldable device might look like.

The glitzy teaser confirms what we already knew: Huawei will be showing off its much-hyped folding smartphone at the Barcelona tech show. Huawei's foldable phone will also come with 5G support, making it a first in the industry. So, let's just wait and watch.
