The Golden Globe's Fiji Water girl is now suing Fiji Water

"There's a lot of stuff coming up", Cuthbert said at the time, referring to her possible appearance at upcoming events during the months-long awards season.

Cuthbert claims that on January 7, a day after the awards show, Fiji Water "intentionally created cardboard cutouts of Steinbach for use in a cardboard cutout marketing campaign", according to court documents obtained by the website. They maintain that after the Golden Globes, they had negotiated a generous amount which Cuthbert had violated.

The model, who is reportedly suing both The Fiji Company and the brand's marketing partners, The Wonderful Company, believes she has generated over $12 million (£9.1 million) in brand exposure for the company.

On Jan. 8, Fiji Water attempted to negotiate an agreement with Cuthbert's agent, but the cardboard cutouts had already been placed, with one cutout appearing in a photo of John Legend's as he left Bristol Farms in West Hollywood. The documents also allege that Fiji Water continued to use the cardboard cutouts and capitalizing on Cuthbert's image and likeness despite knowing that the documents were not official.

But not everyone was pleased about being involved in the Fiji Water stunt, with actor Curtis unhappy that she had been photobombed by a product on the red carpet.

There were several reports in the past that the reason behind her hasty decision to get married is because she was pregnant. The duo tied the knot in an opulent wedding ceremony in Jodhpur in the presence of their families and close friends.

The suit also alleges Fiji Water offered "gifts to entice" Cuthbert to sign away her rights and "pressured" her into taking part in a mock video production that made it look as if she signed on to be a 'Fiji Water Ambassador'.

'We are confident that we will prevail in Court. "Throughout our history, we have had a sterling reputation working with talent", they added. The model's lawyers stated that it was not a legally-binding document and that she has since destroyed it.

Cuthbert did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. Per THR, her lawsuit seeks "punitive and compensatory damages, plus disgorgement of FIJI Water's profits".

Kelleth became a sensation online thanks to her photobombing ways at the Golden Globes.

"There's tons of photographers everywhere".
