Bitterly cold wind chills into Monday morning

Extreme cold warnings are issued when temperatures or wind chill values create a risk to health, such as frost bite and hypothermia.

National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory from 6 p.m. Sunday until noon today.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind-chill advisory for Allen County, eight northeast IN counties and northwest OH counties. By Monday morning, the lows would be nine degrees, although wind chills could make it feel like -10 degrees.

An extreme cold warning remains in effect this morning for North Bay, Powassan, Mattawa, West Nipissing and all of northeastern Ontario.

Snow totals reached similar amounts in the most northern portions of the Northern Panhandle and climbed higher Sunday in some of the Eastern Mountain counties.

The attorney general for the District of Columbia sued the company in December while other states have opened investigations. Facebook has said the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are also investigating.

Lows on Monday morning will be in the teens and with wind chill it will feel like temperatures are in the single digits.

The deep freeze is expected to continue overnight Tuesday.

The slightly warmer temperatures and dry sunny weather will be brief.

A milder air mass is expected to move in Tuesday, when the high will be -1C during the day. If we can take the European ensembles to heart, this late week cold front may bring a sustained period of cold temperatures to the region.
